I have always loved the creative side of doing hair, but what truly inspires me is helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. We all have moments of self-doubt and being a part of someones journey to see their authentic beauty is incredibly rewarding; and honestly, its therapeutic for me too. This has progressed to helping my stylists fuel their creative passions, and do the same for their clients.
For me it’s the constant evolution of trends, of skills and of people. I’m a huge education junkie, so I thrive on learning anything and everything I can get my hands on. The more I grow, the more I can pour back into my clients and my team. Watching others grow right alongside me is the most rewarding part.
Well considering I no longer work many days behind the chair, I’d have to say just creative freedom. I like to create looks that enhance face shapes, bone structures and skin tone. I want to take your favourite features and make them focal points using colour contour and the elements of shape.
Learning is my passion, and also where a lot of my inspiration comes from. I take tons of classes in all forms.
I am a strong proponent of healthy hair, which means that Im also a strong proponent of hair product. Must haves for me are always going to be two hair masks one for protein and one for moisture, a heat protector and hair oil. My fav’s are:

My style has always been grounded and approachable, with a touch of creative edge. I tend to dress for how I want to feel. I love pieces that feel timeless and easy, but still have personality; worn denim, lived-in layers, and effortlessly styled hair.
I think Lloydminster has the best Home Hardware in Canada. If I could pick one place for everything; this would be my pick.
I love quality time with my husband/business partner. We have a funny farm of dogs, cats, goats and chickens. Any time at home with them, watching a new series or crushing a new book is a perfect day off.
I love creative projects. Whether it’s writing poetry, music, renovating or building something, Im all over it.
Replace your daily conditioner with a treatment. This in itself is a game changer. Also if you love to swim or have hard water, wet your hair with distilled water first and apply a treatment so your hair isn’t absorbing as much unwanted minerals or chlorine.
This goes for both clients and staff, but I always hope my people feel heard, supported and genuinely cared for. People make me better so I hope I do the same for them.
